European Quality Procedure Manual For Improving Competence Based Vocational Education And Training

The project aims the development of a quality assurance model with procedures for improving competence based learning processes in VET through the development of an on-line training and teaching quality procedure manual. The partnership, 10 partners in 7 countries, have identified a need of focusing the quality assurance procedures to the training process itself within a bottom-up approach since till now it is more focused in the administrative procedures. These same needs were confirmed on the results of the previous project in which this one build on. To reach the objectives the partners will, firstly, analyse the quality assurance and management procedures and materials existing in each country and will design a common framework with guidelines and on this basis they will develop the on-line teaching and training quality procedure manual. This manual will incorporate eight critical processes of the teaching and learning processes conform to the EQA adaptation of the EFQM model (development of training objectives, curriculum development, development of course materials, organisation of learning and teaching activities, organisation of practical learning experiences, tutoring and counselling and life long learning agreement with graduated pupils/students/learners). This final product will be tested in each partner country in at least three organisations: one University, one training providing company and one secondary school. Main target groups addressed by the project are all training providing organisations with particular relevance for those in which the test will be performed.
