European Network for Knowledge diffusion of DIgital StoryTelling

The aim of the project is to create a network between entities who share the purpose of developing and promoting innovative ICT-based model in formal, non-formal and informal learning settings, with the intention of exchanging best practice and knowledge at EU level, promoting digital competences and other key transversal competences for life and employability. The proposal relates to the ICT contribution to LLP considering the crucial issue of the access, fruition and production of digital contents during the various phases of the learning continuum. The network will deepen the innovative, creative and ICT based practice of digital storytelling (DST) methodology, a process of production of media-based stories through multimedia technology, a tool that can be used in every learning and training context, an approach that opens the possibility of large-scale projects for community, educational and business. The sustainable outcome is a virtual community of practice on DST issues, in order to develop future visions and foresight scenario using DST methodology as a tool able to transform education towards and to bring training systems near the needs of the future knowledge society. The network will work on the exchange of knowledge and experience concerning the use of new technologies involved in the DST process and its innovative and creative potential in education and training by organising interactive symposia and virtual/online meetings. Interconnected workshops are planned to test, develop and update the use of ICT and DST in different educational and training sectors. The impact of the network activities will lead transversals targets such as teachers, pupils of high schools, university students, professors, professionals and HR operators, entrepreneurs, cultural content providers to a full awareness and updating in the use of DST tools and practice.
