European InfoNet Adult Education II

The main objective of European InfoNet Adult Education (European Information Networkfor Adult Education = InfoNet) is to disseminate information about trends, project andresearch results, the latest developments, best practices and the latest news from themember countries of the European Union. It also seeks at a European level to developand establish European awareness among the network members.InfoNet Adult Education represents a wide network of partner organisations,journals/magazines and other communication experts working in the field of adulteducation. They seek to address the gaps in comparative professional knowledge andthe current low levels of peer awareness in adult education in Europe. Transnationaldialogue and cooperation will be improved.Therefore, the project will network among organisations/institutions,newspapers/journals and special correspondents of adult education on a national andEuropean level and provide knowledge management via databases, newsletters andtraining opportunities.Initially, the information produced will be used by the members of the network in theirown work and presented in periodicals and on web-pages. InfoNet II will use anddevelop the reporting and translation workflow based on a wide network ofcorrespondents in 21 countries in Europe, (tested in InfoNet I). The correspondents willensure a European orientation of the reporting. They will deliver from six to ten reports ayear in their mother tongue (or in EN). These items will be translated by a translationoffice that is part of the online workflow and the process will meet special qualitystandards. All articles will be available in English on an online database ("InfoService")and InfoNet will publish bimonthly a four page EN newsletter ("InfoLetter").Secondly, the products will be offered to further targets in Europe: (adult) educationmagazines and journals, European institutions, umbrella organisations, stakeholders,media, universities and other experts. To achieve this task, InfoNet II is going toimprove the structure of the network, to develop and implement a specific marketingstrategy on how to address more partner organisations, newspapers and other playersin the field of adult education. Furthermore a Strategy has been developed to acquiresubscribers to the newsletter with the help of the InfoNet partners. The wide distributionof InfoNet is also going to help disseminate the results of Grundtvig projects and bestpractice reports.
