European clusters to promote the exchange of knowledge and best practices in fighting early school leaving through IT
Start date: Nov 1, 2010,

The rationale behind the IT-CLEX project is to respond to the need for reducing the drop-out rates and improving the quality of education and training in Europe. IT-CLEX intends to identify and transfer best practices and provide tools, mechanisms and methodologies, especially focused on active co-operation between educational and non-educational actors. It will also provide a framework for these practices to be transferred and further implemented. The main aim is to provide an ICT platform which will enable education professionals and other stakeholders to share best practices, experiences, methods, resources and tools to work with early school leavers. The working methodology between educational and non-educational actors to be transferred within this project will benefit the contexts where it is introduced, since it will provide an efficient approach to work with early school leavers. For these aims to be achieved, a series of activities will be undertaken:- Documental and best practice search- Analysis of best practices according to their transferability potential- Creation of an ICT platform to integrate those best practices and to provide a collaborative framework for educational and non-educational actors working in the field- Adapting and piloting of the FPSS method- Writing and publication of a user guideThe main project outputs will be:- ICT platform to share resources, tools and methods and to work collaboratively- Valorisation workshops and a final conference addressed to final users- User guide All these results, in the short term, will have an important impact in the participating institutions and will allow the project results to be transferred, in the long term, to other educational institutions and context potentially interested. Several activities to be developed such as valorisation workshops in each partner country and a final conference will optimise the impact of this European project.
