Europe United - Multiplikator für interkulturelle Kompetenzentwicklung
Start date: Oct 1, 2016, End date: Sep 30, 2018 PROJECT  FINISHED

The FOS & BOS Vocational Secondary School Traunstein has already several years of experience in the field of European funding - starting with Leonardo da Vinci, on VETPRO to Erasmus +.This tradition of internationalization of our school is to be continued in the coming years. We want to facilitate a training period abroad for our students and teachers. We want to continue to be an open and tolerant school and educate our students to tolerant Europeans. By learning about different educational systems in Europe, we want to develop expertise in this field and serve as multipliers of European education.Within the project Europe United 36 teachers get the opportunity to develop their skills in the field of internationalization. They should be able to participate in internships and job shadowings in international organizations in Northern Ireland, Poland, the Netherlands or Spain. The insight into the work of international organizations should show how to jointly prepare training projects in Europe. Teachers learn about international cooperation and the structure of European funding. They also gain an insight into the educational system of the country, its culture and language. Teachers get to know people from different cultures. Back home they can motivate their students to go abroad and prepare them for their stay, as the international organizations are also receiving partner to our pupils.Teachers should be multipliers for the tolerant and sensitive approach to other cultures. The specialist courses may be chosen by the teachers free from a database, but we encourage to perceive courses of our 4 partner organizations, as we are convinced of their quality and course participation strengthens cooperation between partners. The courses are intended to motivate participants, but also be conducive to the Europeanisation of our vocational high school, which is why language courses and courses in the field of vocational training of the target country are warmly welcome. The school management hopes that the continuation of the internationalization of our facility helps to maintain a tolerant and open atmosphere at the school, to undestudent the culture of our students from other countries and to be professional competent in the field of vocational training in Europe. We hope thereby to encourage more students to do an internship abroad - whether self- or externally funded.
