EuRoPe Skills has been implemented between September 2014 and August 2016, by Liceul Tehnologic Petricani. This project is the starting point of a set of measures foreseen to overtake difficulties determined by our rural location, such as poor access to information and scanty involvement opportunities, both for students and teachers. The objectives foreseen by the project and the European Development plan for 2014-2016 were related to our organization’s development, elaborating and implementing an internationalization strategy, forming a permanent internationalization team, identifying resources and opportunities at local and European level, improving online visibility, rising the quality and attractiveness of our educational services, improving our staff’s English fluency, ITC and teaching competencies and facilitating the access to international activities for students with fewer opportunities. The project foreseen 7 training courses, respectively 10 mobilities in the fields of management and internationalization, quality assurance, English language (two levels, both for teachers of English and for the fluency development for teachers of other specializations), ICT, creative thinking, intercultural and professional communication. The course providers, organizations of a vast experience (Euneos from Finland, ETIMalta and ITC from Czech Republic) have been identified at moment of project writing. The courses have been chosen according to identified needs. Prior the selection process, informative materials such as `Candidate’s Guide` have been elaborated and distributed within the organization, offering detailed explanations concerning the selection procedure and documents, available courses, European Development Plan and the next steps. Also a project website has been set up (www.skills.eraeurope.ro) and interested persons benefited from face to face informative sessions organized within the school. The selection was based on an application form, the result of an online language test and an actualized Europass CV. Access to selection was open for all school’s teaching staff members and everybody could choose the preferred training activity to candidate for. Each application has been evaluated by two external experts and all participants received feed-back sheets. Teachers from both primary and higher levels and members of the institution management team benefited from training activities The school organized common linguistic, cultural and specific preparation activities. The beneficiaries have also undertaken individual preparation activities, based on a personalized plan, detailed into the internal selection application form. The most important intangible results produced by the project are represented by the competencies acquired by participants. The tangible results are represented by the project website (www. skills.eraeurope.ro), the school’s presentation website (www.eraeurope.ro), materials produced for selection, preparation, project management and materials realized by the participants. The impact on students and teachers has started to be experienced immediately. The EuRoPe Skills internationalization team has been formed and the results were soon noticed. Since 2014 until the present moment Liceul Tehnologic Petricani has implemented two mobility projects (EuRoPe Design and EuRoPe Tailors) for VET students and coordinates a strategic partnership. Organizational climate significantly improved and an increase of students’ and teachers’ motivation level has been noticed. Dissemination activities have been organized both by the school, on a global level, and from the perspective of the participants, each of which having to organize at least four such activities. To ensure the transfer of competencies, each participant organized at least one demonstrative lesson/activity.
