Marcelle Pardé vocational High School is a public school specialized in vocational training that provides schooling to around 500 students in service jobs on the one side and in industrial jobs on the other side. From the Certificate of Vocational Education to the BTEC National, Marcelle Pardé High School offers a teaching in close relationships with the firm and its jobs in modern buildings provided with the best educational tools. During their three-year-school curriculum, the students are trained to their future job thanks to 22 internship weeks, with the goal to carry on their studies (BETC Higher National Diploma, Technology University Degree…) In this context, M. Pardé High school has been taking part in international mobility actions since 2012 and has already sent 65 students to foreign countries with the following goals : - Enriching their personalities and professional skills ; - Making their CV more attractive to carry on their studies or to begin their job ; - Improving their autonomy and maturity - Being more open-minded and able to adapt in any circumstances ; - Improving their language - Discovering a reality different from their home country in culture, way of living, job methods. Between 2014 and 2016, this 24-month program allowed 39 students from 4 different classes in their last year of BETC National to spend a one-month internship in Great Britain : - 13 students in BTEC National in Beauty, cosmetics and perfume - 13 students in BTEC National in Management and Administration - 9 students in BTEC National in Commerce - 4 students in BTEC National in Reception, Assistance, Advice. The participants ,that had been chosen on their motivation, behavior and autonomy, could benefit from a one-month internship in Great Britain and discover different aspects of the British culture. The students come back with a really positive feeling about this experience. Among 39 students, 85% applied to carry on their studies and 100% got a positive answer. Without any doubt this mobility has made their CVs more attractive for future employers as well as for upper secondary schools.
