EUROPE CHANTIER - Methodology for implementing European projects to train young people who are pursuing initial vocational training, in particular disadvantaged youngsters

EUROPE CHANTIER is a training engineering project designed to create and promote within European training organisations a methodology and incentive for creating transnational projects open to young people (16 to 25-year-olds) who have problems with socio-professional integration. These projects will last two or three weeks and will take the form of modules designed to be incorporated into the initial training programmes of the organisations hosting the target group concerned. They will constitute a specific phase in these training programmes which will focus on establishing contacts, raising awareness and learning. The aim is to ensure that disadvantaged groups can be integrated appropriately. The project will take place in three stage: the first will concentrate on extending, enriching and adapting the teaching strategy, drawing up formal provisions on the implementation of European projects and developing training engineering in line with the number of countries taking part; the second phase will entail piloting the teaching strategy during three projects and the third will involve evaluating, improving and disseminating this new teaching tool among training organisations. A website created at the beginning of the project will allow the partners to be linked up and will contribute to the dissemination of the project and its results.
