"Europe: Between Dream and Reality" is a bilateral youth-theatre-project with participants from Italy and Germany, who will meet in summer 2015 in both countries directly one after the other. They will spend five days in Hesse (D) and six days in the region Emilia Romagna (IT). Working on ideas concerning the topics „Europe on crisis“, „Europe as an opportunity“ and „Europe in daily life“ the 22 young people develope the theatre play "Europe: Between Dream and Reality". The meeting of the southern and northern European participants gives the occasion to think about contemporary political, economic and cultural differences and similarities. Professional theatre teachers will encourage the exchange specially in using theater pedagogy methods and they help to prepare the performances for the presentation in both countries. The creation of the theatre scence and acting is a representation of relevant European issues, but will also encreases the development of self-confidence, authentic body language, communication skills, creativity, team spirit and spontaneity as well as the conscious use of the own and the foreign language. Sports and outdoor activities in ecologically interesting regions and the intense contact to the families of the host country complements the thematic work.
