The teacher has been teaching English, R.E. and Geography/History at our school for 22 years. She usually teaches grades 5 to 10. In a two-week project in Galway she will get to know new methods and tools for motivating and linguistically sophisticated English lessons. Besides new teaching methods the project deals with new digital media which can be adapted to the curriculum and textbooks. The participants analyse the foreign language and correct the pronounciation. A special focus is on the exchange with English speaking teachers from foreign schools. The teacher will be encouraged to inform her colleagues about the new teaching methods and application of new media in the classroom. We hope the participation of our collegue has a long lasting impact on the educational aims of our school and will motivate teachers and students alike.
