In context of the project "Europäischer Freiwilligendienst beim Jugendwerk 2016-17" the volunteer Elizaveta Kolesnikova will be included in the daily work of the Jugendwerk. She will support the full-time staff with the EFD-organization and the organization of children and youth camps. Besides she will be part of teams for the leisure care for children and youth in Germany and Europe. The volunteer has the possibility to become a youth group leader and gets a certificate which is called Juleica (Jugendgruppenleitercard) for this. Furthermore she can undergo training for a high rope course trainer. The volunteer has the possibility to introduce her theoretical knowledge from her studies in topics like communication, marketing and PR. But she can also use her practical experiences, for example with organising and leading international workcamps. In our organization the volunteer has the possibilty to realize her own events/projects, to support the daily work of our organization and to introduce her own ideas. While the care of children and youth, the participation in working groups and events of the volunteers of the Jugendwerk and the contact with the local society the volunteer gets in touch with many (young) people. These kind of activities contribute to the intercultural opening of the Jugendwerk. We intend to strengthen the knowledge of the chance and potential of diversity, we want to call attention to the situations of other countries and offer the possibility to get to know other countries. Furthermore we want to make people think about integration of other cultures in our country. Especially young people should become motivated to engage themselves in intercultural projects, exchanges or to take part in the European Voluntary Service. The volunteer gets a deep insight in the daily work of the Jugendwerk and can present her own ideas. Shee has the chance to get to know the culture, the language and the characteristics of the german culture. Furthermore she will get in touch with many different people. The volunteer will be supported by the EVS-Coordinator of the Jugendwerk and her tutor. Furthermore all staff members and volunteers are available as contact persons and support the volunteer with the realisation of own projects.
