Europa entdecken – interkulturelle Kernkompetenzen erlernen

The project „exploring Europe – learning intercultural competency” will offer 10 young Europeans suffering from unemployment to take part in a 12 month EVS (key action 1 mobility activity). It´s main objectives are to foster European values such as democracy and active citizenship as well as openness and tolerance. At the same time it will give learning opportunities for the participants to improve job related key competencies such as intercultural understanding and self organisation. EVS participants will com from Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, Spain, France, Ireland, Italy and Latvia. Various sending partners focus in their activities on measures to improve the employability of youth. Project organizations in Germany mainly work in the context of intercultural learning with refugees and people of migrant background, but also in sports and non-formal youth education. EVS participants will be let to develop own ideas for volunteering and civil engagement upon return with in their home communities. More over they will develop individual career perspectives. Upon returning home they will receive support through the sending partner to these into practice. This project is the first application of this new network of European EVS-partners who aim at continuously exchanging young unemployed Europeans with a long term perspective, offering them additional perspectives for their personal careers as well as for their European citizenship.
