"Europa dla ZSP nr 1 w Kłodzku" Mobility Project (Europe for upper-secondary school complex No 1 in Kłodzko) Mobility Project aims at organizing foreign-owned apprenticeships in enterprises for 30 students from Zespół Szkół Ponadgimnazjalnych nr 1 in Kłodzko under the name of Prof. Wacław Żenczykowski.Main project’s objectives:1) improvement of professional skills of students: 10 students – building technician profile, 20 students – logistics technician profile,2) improvement of students’ language skills,3) improvement of tolerance and respect towards European values.160 hours within 4 weeks (1-26.05.2017) will be an obligatory time scope as referred to the aforementioned apprenticeships. The following locations for apprenticeships are taken into account:Evora (Portugal): 10 students – logistics technician profile, 5 students - building technician profile (3rd grade students are expected in this program),Bolonia (Italy) - 10 students – logistics technician profile, 5 students - building technician profile (3rd grade students are expected in this program). The English language will be the language of this apprenticeship program – also it will be the tool of communication and instruction during all additional activities designed by custodians/supervisors in enterprises.Students, prior to their foreign apprenticeship, will undergo a set of preparatory activities (cultural ones, language-oriented and organizational) in order to be better prepared to take advantage of such a unique chance.30 students participating in the project will fulfill a practical element of vocational education and therefore will be better prepared to their future positions being in accordance with their professions. The above mentioned better preparation will mean the knowledge of requirements and its realization in the area of the so called professional ‘hard skills’ that is a demand at a given position. Such an experience of professional nature will considerably facilitate students’ process of finding themselves during further apprenticeship programs and their professional career. Moreover, students will improve their language skills and social competencies (team work skills, responsibility, an ability to solve problems, managing their own budget, etc.). This project also means participants’ personal development as far as the respect towards other cultures and tolerance is concerned. An increase of the aforementioned skills and, in consequence, the change of participants’ attitudes and their greater openness will make them more aware of European values. It will all add up to the improvement of their professional mobility. Additionally we are aware that, undoubtedly, this project will contribute to the improvement of the quality of teaching in our school. Recommendations connected with the analysis of skills acquired by students as well as international employers’ needs and expectations will be an outstanding foundation to design new educational curricula and modify the already existed ones. Worked out standards and changes within already existed educational curricula, being the outcome of this project, will contribute to the improvement of the quality of teaching in earlier mentioned professional profiles: logistics technician and building technician.
