The project titled „Europa dla LZN” is a VET mobility project. This initiative is addressed at students of Lotnicze Zakłady Naukowe and aims at increasing their competitiveness on the labor market by broadening professional competence they are gaining while learning in our school. 40 participants will be chosen from among students of three specialties:- technicians of exploitation of ports and terminals - 15 participants, III class, 4-week-long internships, 14.11-9.12.2016 in Bologna- logistics technicians - 15 participants, II class, 4-week-long internships, 13.02- 10.03.2017 (8 students will go to Evora, 7 to Bologna)- mechatronics technicians - 10 participants, III class, 4-week-long internships, 13.02- 10.03.2017 (5 students will go to Evora, 5 to Bologna)The need for activities envisioned in the proposed project stems from the current realities of the labor market. Employers expect their employees to possess not only broad theoretical knowledge, but also a practical ability to perform functions linked with a given position. That is why the quality of the vocational component of education offered by our school is very important. Dynamic growth of shipping and logistics, as well as mechatronics sectors virtually guarantees demand for a well-prepared, highly qualified personnel. However, every year thousands of fresh graduates of IT and economy-related courses enter the labor market, making it very competitive. Thus, in order to find a good job, young people need professional experience and additional advantages, such as foreign languages and the ability to function in an international environment. Having in mind such a situation, Lotnicze Zakłady Naukowe proposes a project, that will provide our students with an opportunity to:- gain important professional experience and increase competence,- get familiar with the international labor market and working conditions in other European countries,- improve the ability to communicate in foreign languages,- become more self-reliant,- meet people of different races, nationalities, religions and cultures.Participation in the proposed project will therefore constitute a valuable element in the process our students undergo to prepare themselves for starting professional careers. Firstly, it will enable them to gain necessary experience. Secondly it will help them to embrace opportunities resulting from the process of European integration. After the mobility a conference will be held and other dissemination results will be conducted.
