Start date: May 29, 2015, End date: Sep 28, 2015 PROJECT  FINISHED

The kaleidoscopic Europe: the five senses, project, would like to stress the cultural variety of Europe, and the importance of interaction between cultures to promote awareness and cohesion. It is a bilateral exchange involving two groups of young people between 17 and 25 years. The exchange last 8 days. Participants ( 33 people) are from the Bagatelle district of the town of Sainte Suzanne, Réunion Island (France) and Montserrat, Valencia (Spain). Multiculturalism seeks people to understand and interact accepting diversity. One of the main objectives is to raise awareness among young people of both territories, with different cultures of the European Union to discover the importance of knowing, understanding and accepting cultural differences, highlighting the contribution of different cultures and expressions of cultural diversity to the heritage and different ways of life in the countries of the European Union to develop an active European citizenship and you can feel competent to communicate with members of another culture. The idea is to show that Europe is similar to drawing a kaleidoscope that moves as you draw different identities but still be herself. European citizenship is addressed in terms of raising awareness among young people about the common history and values that this "status" implies. Only the participation of citizens, especially younger ones, employers, workers and politicians of the future, it will be possible to maintain and strengthen the EU overcome the current difficulties in the name of the shared human and cultural values.
