The EUROMODEL project aims at establishing skills training conditions for those currently working within, or considering a career within European Development Co-operation, in order to meet the key challenges of EU enlargement. Project partners will initially undergo a comparative study of education and training needs in the participating countries and at European level, in order to establish a starting point in the development of the training model. The developed training model will comprise several training modules in addition to a series of training exercises and a bibliography. Two model training curricula will be developed, the first a post-graduate interdisciplinary curriculum addressed to young graduates considering employment in the sector and the second a revised curriculum addressed to existing employees in the sector. All products will be made available on CD-Rom in both EN and IT. Dissemination activities will take place throughout the project lifetime and will rely upon mailings to relevant stakeholders (NGOs, enterprises, local authorities, universities, decision makers), the hosting of conferences in the participating partner countries and the establishment of a dedicated project website.
