Eurokwalifikacje bazą zawodowego sukces młodzieży
Start date: Dec 31, 2014, End date: Dec 30, 2015 PROJECT  FINISHED

The objective of the project “Euroqualifications – the base of the success of youth” was to acquire new abilities in particular professions by the beneficiaries of the project, to acquaint themselves with technological and technical innovations as well improving of competences which students achieved during learning in craft enterprises in Poland. These experiences are key for the the professional development of young people who in the native country already have got a status of the junior employees, because a practical training in foreign companies allows to confront two different labour markets and as a consequence young people undertake a professional mobility more willingly also on the area of the European Union, using achieved previously experiences including an acquaintance with the work system of the partner state and requirements of the market. The beneficiaries of the project gather information about differences between these two systems, they learn an everyday life in foreign cultural and economic conditions what also allows them to obtain intercultural competences and as a consequence they enter onto the European labour markets more smoothly in comparison to people who did not have chances to gain experience like this before undertaking a professional mobility. Our beneficiaries thus are more competitive, because they are much more experienced. The objective of the project is moreover an elimination of mental barriers to challenge what the professional mobility is, because our beneficiaries acclimatize to a new work environment and create positive and permanent relations more quickly. The objective is also an initiating a necessity of self-education, perfecting them and learning foreign language with elements of professional vocabulary, as well an initiating of increasing of young craftsmen awareness about necessity of incessant personal and professional development, as well strengthening enterprising attitudes and exposing to different challenges. The project thus has got a positive influence on self-assessment of beneficiaries, who more and more often use “of course, I’ll do it!” instead of “nothing can be done!”. The participation in foreign vocational trainings is also one of the components which help to study to pass journeyman exam which confirms students’ professional qualifications after they finish their education in basic vocational schools. The objective was also to develop organisational competences: organisation of the work post, single-handed organisation of work process, objectivity, ability to specify priorities, as well as social competences: creating an atmosphere of mutual confidence with the employer, co-workers and group, cooperation to attain common goals, creating attitudes of tolerance. The beneficiaries of the project are students of basic vocational schools from the area of the Lublin Province, who learn within the framework of the dual system in according with German example. The classes of main subjects and vocational theory take place at school; however a vocational training takes place in craft enterprises under direction of training master. 32 students went to 4 partner countries: Germany (mechanical sector), Great Britain (hairdressing sector), Spain (food sector) and Bulgaria (building sector). During three weeks students were participating in vocational trainings in foreign craft enterprises. After return they received certificates of participation, Europass Mobility and the confirmation of increasing professional qualifications – ECVET. Each of beneficiaries realised the individual training program. Thanks to cooperation with partner institutions, the beneficiaries had ensured: insurance, journey there and back, accommodation, full board and local transport. Students felt the full Europeans, the participants of the European labour market with full rights. They could develop their interests, learn to manage with stress, prove their perseverance, commitment, conscientiousness, consistency of their activities. They are able to define their objectives and life plans. They are much more open on changes, so they are ready to start their professional mobility. The long-term advantage is popularization of vocational education, learning at craft enterprises. Basic vocational schools in Poland have very negative opinion, so that the professional mobility projects show that it is worth to be the student of school like this, because it is a synonym of being reliable and professional. Young people unit in guilds more willingly, set up firms not only in Poland, but abroad too, because they are able to expose their strong points and eliminate weaknesses. This project shows that it is worth to invest in young people and a work is a guarantee of success. The work at the project is also a benefit for involved institutions, we also learn something: patience, perseverance, cooperation in the name of common success: we created new, conscious of themselves Europeans.
