Eurocompetence in Vocationally Oriented Languages in Romania and Slovakia
Defining and Assessing Language Skills for the Workplace : As the ability to use foreign languages becomes more important in European business, a system is needed that allows employers and employees to understand what skills are needed in specific areas of work and how levels of attainment in those skills can be measured. The EvoQ project, building on existing work in this field, provides an inventory of job-related language skills and a programme for assessment and certification. This project started in 2000 and lasted 24 months.
