Walter-Eucken-Schule Karlsruhe is a federal vocational school centre specialised in business, commerce and economy. Approximately 1,600 students are enrolled who are trained by 85 teachers. The range of teaching our school provides comprises
- Vocational school in the business sector, one partner of the dual system in Germany for apprentices
- School of further education in the field of business and economy aiming at the advanced technical college entrance qualification
- College of Business Administration and Management
The focus of all three is on business, information technology and foreign languages.
We pursue a strategy of internationalization as response to expanding and thus joining markets. With international partnerships (France, Spain, Great Britain, Russia, Poland and Serbia) in all courses of training and further education we aim at vocational qualification in a joint Europe.
Our primary goal is to improve both the cross-cultural competence and the competence in speaking foreign languages significantly. Moreover we aim at supporting the self-development of our students and at promoting the advanced subject-specific training. We would like to raise the prospects of our course participants on the domestic and particularly on the European job market by that project. Last but not least, we wish to revitalize the European idea by international meetings!

German-French partnership with Lycée Jean Mermoz, Saint-Louis, on the basis of the pilot project "Azubi-BacPro"
Content and objectives of "Azubi-BacPro"
“Azubi-BacPro" is one pilot project of the German-French 'Academy of Vocational Education'. This project has been established since the beginning of the school year 2014/2015 by the Academy Strasbourg and the Ministry of Education in Stuttgart (Baden-Württemberg).
