EUCIT : European Citizenship in an enlarged Europe

The project EUCIT, organized by Arciragazzi Ferrara together with organizations from Bosnia, Serbia, Macedonia, Turkey and Poland, has as main aim to support activities organized by and for young people in order to promote the sense of European citizenship and intercultural dialogue between youths coming from EU countries, in coming countries (Turkey) and South East Europe countries. The activities of the project will be based on workshops on the themes of European citizenship, intercultural education and social inclusion, using methodologies of non formal education and socialization in order to foster a sharing of common cultural, social and and social values between the participants. The daily programme of the project includes also visits in the territory of the Ferrara province, meetings in youth centres and with experts on the theme of intercultural dialogue. The project is supported by the Municipality and the Province of Ferrara.---------------relazione finale: The aim of the project, by means of workshops and activities on the theme, has been to improve the european citizenship within the European youths. Mutual understanding, the willingness to cooperate and to know better each other is at the base of a wider Europe. It is of outmost importance to favour the knowledge of other culture, ideas respecting the rights and the democratic process.It is foreseen to enhance the european citizenship and the relationship within youths coming from different realities. The activities were realized following the principle of the participation and participants integration. There has been moments of discussion, informal activities, simulation of european citizenship learning, as well as transferring of best practices.The activities proposed meeting with experts, workshops on the theme, visits to the city of Ferrara, socializing activities and intercultural parties.
