The main idea behind the project is the transfer of knowledge from the SMEs already established in EU funding attraction in Hungary, a Member State since 2004, and the Croatian stakeholders who will be faced with the same opportunities after the upcoming accession.Within the project, a number of EU Infopoints will be established in the border area on the Croatian side, providing a wide range of information, first of all connected to promotion of business activities in the EU and the use of the increasingly available resources, to the local and regional governments, non-governmental organizations and entrepreneurs, as well as economy development organizations. A guidebook and workshops will be developed, based on the experiences of the Hungarian project partner to be used in the training of the employees of the Infopoints to be established Achievements: In order to support Croatian civil society, as well as the business and public sector in the fi nal year before the accession to the European Union, the project’s main idea was to provide always relevant and accurate information about the EU to everyone at any point in time. With the support of the Hungarian partners a number of EU Information Points was established in several border communities, while their staff was educated and prepared to provide information on the European Union, its structure, its institutions and its functioning to local governments, businesses and the general public.
