ETSE - Empowerment of transparency in vocational framework of security employees

The project is based on a previous Leonardo da Vinci mobility project from 2005, "Quality Assurance Framework in Vocational Training of Security". Its aim is to ensure quality in vocational training of security employees throughout the European Union. This aim will be achieved through development of competence assessment tools, training policies and programmes. The project is addressed at current and future security employees, training and guidance staff of security employees, security companies and their national and international associations, and other national and international organisations interested in the quality of security services. The project activities will comprise: implementing a comparative survey of current recruitment practices in security industry; based on the results of the survey, developing common recruitment standards, a web-based assessment tool for companies to test competencies of their employees and tools for the necessary training of security employees that fail to achieve the common standards; finally, disseminating awareness raising material about the project achievements.
