Etre jeune en Europe : quelle identité ?
Start date: May 4, 2015, End date: Jan 3, 2016 PROJECT  FINISHED

We often speak of identity but are we really aware of our own identity? We see it more clearly in contact with different cultures that emphasize our specificities. During his first visit in 2014 in Spain, Cabana de Bergantinos, twinned with the town Treize-Septiers, French young participants were able to discover a country, a culture, a heritage and a different lifestyle from theirs. This trip gave them the desire to welcome in turn Spanish young participants. This is the basis of any exchange! Sharing. The desire to discover elsewhere and the other. But also to discover its daily, his country, his culture. Welcoming other young Europeans, French young people will wonder what they would like to introduce to their counterparts. Serve as a cultural guide, tour raises awareness of the attractions of the region, its country, its gastronomic specialties, from the family lifestyle. The host wants to host the best he can the guests. The objective is to show the best of themselves, their culture, etc. The purpose of this trip is to discuss the clichés, to see what we know of the other country. Through debates on Europe, artistic and culinary workshops, but also through visits to representative places of history or the regional heritage, young Spanish discover our country and be able to affirm or deny the value of some of their stereotypes. As French youth, they will discover the image of other young Europeans have of their countries while giving their perception of Spain. This sharing of national mental and cultural performances will lead to the concrete realization of a fresco painted by the Spanish and French youth, humorous way representing our two countries. In parallel, from a few photos that young Spanish have taken and selected during the stay, a photo exhibition will be to show the way they look at France and Vendée.
