Etnosocialization is a social initiative of students' folk group "Ratilio", which aims to help socially problematic youth to socialize through traditional culture. Project consists from two parts, one is to improve organizers' skills, second is to improve the participants' social skills. In the first part, there will be seminars for "Ratilio" members to get some knowledge about social work with problematic youth. Knowledge gained during the seminars will help volunteers to organize creative workshops for the children and teenagers. During the second stage, Etnosocialization workshops will be implemented in three children day care centers in Vilnius. Target group of these workshops - youth which have social and educational problems. Creative ethnic workshops will consist of three parts, which will stimulate activity, creativity and imagination: a) folk dancing and games; b) musical improvisation with traditional instruments; c) fairy-tales with music and acting. All the three activities of the ethnic workshops will be based on the active involvement of both the organizers and the participants. During project implementation youth will get more self-confidence, will gain new communication competencies and social values. It is the first social initiative implemented by "Ratilio" members, so it will improve social competence and organizing skills of project team. Project duration is 5 months, but after the successful project it is planned to continue with similar activities and new initiatives.
