Establishing the homeostasis status of crayfish population in Cris and Mures rivers crossing the Romanian-Hungarian border (RIVERCRAYFISH)

Project partners main objective is to undertake a survey on the crayfish population within the Cris and Mures rivers crossing the Romanian-Hungarian border. Specific objectives:1. New monitoring activities on crayfish species.2. Publication of the project results.The main activity of the project is execution of the scientific survey.The target groups are formed by:1. The researchers and specialists in the long-term monitoring activity of aquatic living resources and quality of rivers are the first beneficiary of the new database and distribution map about crayfish population. 2. The research groups whose work out environmental impact studies.3. The legislative authorities of the Environmental Ministry, because the knowledge contribute to higher level of nature protection activities by rules.4. Hungarian and Romanian researchers of the project will acquire new scientific results (publications, know-how, etc).Among project results: 1 common website, 1 scientific survey( overall report about the conservation status of crayfish population), 5 scientific articles, 1 data base with crayfish distribution
