The SME system in Europe needs improvements in the socio-economic sphere, application of sustainable development concept and improvement of the corporate social responsibility. The project responds for these needs by offering solutions which can be applied in the whole European Union and other European states: it intends to develop training courses, including teaching and organisational tools, geared to adapting the skills of managers of SMEs in industrial districts to take account of sustainable development and respect for the principles of corporate social responsibility.
