In our school, we feel the need for various training activities in order to offer our students an educational environment that suits their expectations and needs. All this taking into account as regards the objectives of Europe 2020:- The reduction of early abandonment of education and training.- Improve performance in Secondary Education.- Enhancing creativity and innovation, including entrepreneurship, at all levels of education and training.Since our school stands up for innovation in education, our faculty would like to continue being recycled and trained into a new educational matters.In our project the following departments are involved: Management Team, Coordination of Teacher Training, Technology and English. Specifically, the school head master, who is also in charge of ICT will attend a short term course abroad on the issue. The coordinator of teacher training will attend a course on teaching entrepreneurship and leadership. An English teacher will be attending a course in Ireland on new methodologies and thus be more innovative and creative in English classes. The department Technology will attend a CLIL course in Ireland to adapt the curriculum of the subject using English.After the training stays abroad, the teachers will share learned ideas and skills and will be introduced the new methodology to the school subjects involved in the project and the other teachers taking advantage of the experience to positively impact in teaching and student learning.Sharing this knowledge among teachers will give them a chance to increase the motivation and satisfaction in their daily work. Ultimately, the aim is to explore the results of the courses and benefit the school and the community and to improve teaching and oral and written English proficiency.Students can benefit from this experience and renew the motivation to improve oral and written skills through the use of these new methods and develop new skills and abilities. Thus the school will fulfill the agreements reached in the Transition Plan. It will also benefit from a linguistic improvement thanks to the eTwinning projects and conversations that will be kept with students via Skype.The activities planned to be achieved at school, after the period of training in Europe are:- Set up posters all around the school English: canteen, secretary, …- Introduction of CLIL in technology, biology and areas which would like to participate in the project.- Visual Dictionary poster in the Technology and Biology classrooms.- Labeling the Technology workshops and Biology Laboratory.- Conducting debates in the courses of ESO and open debates for members of the educational community.- Introduction to Mindfulness: control exercises and attention to breath, posture and balance.- Interviews of students to foreign, national as well as local residents in the area.- Oral presentations on the environment and culture.- Quizzes in different languages.- Group work for project preparation.- Use of ICT for information.- Activities eTwinning: Activities related to e-Twinning shared with contacts made during the different training periods dealing with language skills.The participants will impact on the acquisition of new methodologies in the first ESO classes. In addition, the school will get a very wide European consciousness as the teacher training will take place in three different countries (Ireland, Italy and Malta) with different training profiles.The students will renew their motivation in studying through the use of these new approaches and methodologies, improving their oral and written language skills and developing new skills and abilities that will be evaluated in comparison with previous years. We will let the families participate with us when doing activities together. Thus we will be able to see the changes that the school gets compared to previous courses.Regarding the dissemination of activities, teachers will make a commitment to make presentations and videos and upload them to the blog of the project. The ideas learned will be shared with other teachers in eTwinning European countries and this contact will enable us to participate in a future project Erasmus + KA2 associations and have an impact on the European dimension. These educational activities will help us preserve and guarantee the sustainability of the project and maintain its existence and development.
