Before the start of the internship our students attend a two-week intensive course in the local language and complete the necessary technical vocabulary of occupation-specific terms. The trainees receive a certificate by the school in which the level of their language skills will be certified after two weeks. After completion of the course, the three-week internship starts. The content is specifically tailored to the professional training level of the particular student. They have the option to learn additional / special skills in our Spanish partner institutions. At our two partner schools this is done by the preparation of specific work-pieces. In our partner companies, the trainees work on order-related components in order to achieve the intended learning objectives. The project implementation is divided into four phases: preparation, implementation, supervision of trainees during the stay abroad and follow-up. The trainees attend language courses. Depending on the availability of our language teachers they get an additional course in the premises of the BBS Technik. Meanwhile, scheduling in regional studies and intercultural preparation takes place. In addition to that the learning objectives for the internship are reconciled; trainees, training establishments, the partner institutions in Spain and the project managers being involved. The trainees will receive a binder with contact details, directions etc. of the contact persons of the landlord and the school. Likewise, such as travel information, maps, learning agreements, patterns of participants reports and a cover letter for the company are retained. As an aid, travel opportunities for the participants are sought by the lead partner. The accommodation of trainees will be organized in consultation with the language school in Seville. The lead partner organises the general liability insurance as well as accident and health insurance for the trainees. After arriving in Seville an intensive Spanish language course begins for the trainees. After its completion, the project manager will travel to Seville, shows participants the transport links to the partner institutions and leads the trainees to the factories. Learning agreements and measures to prevent accidents will be discussed. Tickets for public transport will also be organised.
