Erweiterung der interkulturellen und europäischen Kompetenz und Steigerung der Projektmanagementkompetenz zur Durchführung europäischer Schulpartnerschaften und Schulentwicklungsvorhaben
Start date: Jul 18, 2014, End date: Jul 17, 2016 PROJECT  FINISHED

At present, the Liebfrauenschule undergoes significant changes. The immigration of families from other European countries, including those countries participating in the present Erasmus+Project, demands increasing intercultural competencies and project management skills from the school’s administration as well as from its staff. The Liebfrauenschule welcomes this increasing diversity and aims to become a truly European school that treats pupils and families with a migration background as equal partners and that shares the responsibility for learning with them. To be able to achieve that the hitherto used methods and contents of learning have to be reflected and to be adapted to the new situation. Here the use of digital media and Internet platforms that will allow the teachers as well as the pupils of the European partners to communicate and connect with each other will play a crucial role. Two teachers/members of the school administration will take part in two one-week courses that will allow them to improve their project management and intercultural skills and to create networks for student exchanges by getting to know potential exchange partners. The participating teachers, together with the school administration, will be responsible for the management of the coming Erasmus+Project. The intercultural competencies of the participants will be increased and will help their schools in interacting with the multicultural pupils and their families. Exchange with the other participants as well as the impressions from the visits to the other European countries will improve our treatment of the topics media use, inclusion, the handling of heterogeneity and the European curriculumand will enable us to include them into our curriculum. Through networking and exchange with the European partners both teachers and pupils will develop a positive and conscious attitude towards Europe and towards international cooperation. The appreciation of multilingualism, multiculturalism and the European idea is a precondition for the future demands of the European Union.
