Our school has been promoting vivid second language learning by offering theatre trips (English plays), study excursions to England and France and other language related activities such as Presentation Days for many years now. So, the aim of the project is to establish and cultivate long-term partnerships with schools in English-, French- and Italian-speaking countries. Thus we generate another realistic communication situation for our pupils. This improves their fluency and command of the language and not least the interkultural exchange. We intend launching the project in the 7th form. The topics of the projects comply with the class level. We plan to keep E-mail- and Skype-contact periodically and to exchange our experiences with the teachers and pupils at our partner schools. The mode of the project implementations needs some extra work and discussions but we hope to get help from eTwinning. Apart from that, our pupils get the chance to read and answer their E-mails every week and skype with their partners. We aspire a long-term student exchange with partner schools, thus motivating our pupils to use their second (third) language constructively, in a purpose- and goal-directed way, but at the same time have their fun using a foreign language.
