Belong to the same region from biogeographical point of view. This region has unique natural values bot hon the surface and underground. The rich wildlife and cultural heritage of the area form a complex network. This is known worldwide: both area are Biosphere Reserves, furthermore, all the caves of Aggtelek and Slovak Karst were entitled as World Heritage Sites in 1995.The most important tourist destination is the Baradla-Domica Cave System. Currently existing tourism destinations in the area are far from reaching their maintaning capacity. Though, increasing tourism is not the main aim of the project, growth of visitor number as a result of the development will be a positive factor in the area. However, several unique natural and cultural values can be found in the area, considering them as tourist detinations they need to be developed from the point of view of available services (programmes for getting to know better natural and cultural values, special cave concerts, folk traditions, architectural values, close destinations ont he other side of the border like Andrássy Castle in Betliar, Krásnohorská Castle, Rožňava, Zádiel Valley etc. ) Achievements: The goal of the project was the protection of the cultural and natural heritage, including the reconstruction of protected granaries. The valuable buildings were opened to the public as part of the common heritage, as places for showing the natural and cultural values, the local traditions of nearby areas as well as preserving traditions and strengthening ecotourism in the region. The Granary of Arts is devoted to exhibitions and cultural events, while the Granary in Jablonov nad Turňou was appointed as a destination for wine tourism, local cuisine and ecotourism.
