The aim of this project is to intensify and diversify the management, planning and execution/realization of special education and thus prevent school drop out and marginalization/social exclusion. The school of Jääli has a long tradition of managing, planning ja execution of special education and of integtrating students with special needs into classes of general education. This project anables to intensify these traditions even more. Six members of education staff from elementary of Jääli will participate in this project. Two of them represent management, two of special education and two of classteachers practising special education in their general classes. All of these six have already co-worked with the partnerschool and they posses the key knowledge of managing, planning and executing special education.During the project the six members of Jääli´s education staff will visit the partner school, and possibly some schools in its´ neighbourhood, twice. The participants would visit only schools that they have hosted in Jääli during past few years. The target of the visits is to observe the special education in partner school and also supervice it by giving instructions to the local teachers. One of the goals is also to start a KA2-project in the future with the partner school and possibly with other schools as well. Furthermore students will start a common eTwinning-project to improve their social skills and their skills in English.The main goal of the project is to prevent school drop out and marginalization/social exclusion. The aim is also to intensify international relations of the school of Jääli and diversify the practises of special education in both partner schools. All the functioning and qualified practises will be shared with other schools in the area of Oulu. With this project we help the students to plan their individual school path and find their places in the society.
