The aims of the project are as follows:1. Gaining competences in addressing the needs of pupils with disadvantaged backgrounds and prevent their early school leaving.2. Increasing the effectiveness of teaching foreign languages (English, German).3. Increasing competence in using ICT in the classroom4. Increasing attractiveness of PE lessons through the introduction of new disciplines: swimming and skiing5. Increasing competence in project management6. Increasing the level of English of school managersThe aims will be achieved through completing the following courses:Ad.1 Current Issues in Education – Early School Leaving - 5 subject teachersAd.2 English/German Methodology Course – 3 English/German teachersAd.3 Interactive Media for 'Interactive' Teaching And Learning - 5 subject teachersAd.4 Skiing + Swimming practical methodology structured course - 2 PE teachersAd.5 Project Management - 4 project coordinatorsAd.6 Intensive English Course – 2 headmastersThe project will have a long-lasting effect on the school, its teachers, students and parents. We will become more open to the needs of pupils with disadvantaged backgrounds and reduce the effect of early school leaving. The process of teaching/learning foreign languages will be more effective, leading to better results in exams.Teachers will become aware of the role of ICT in the classroom and the ICT equipment we have will be used fully.We will attract students by offering new sports disciplines – swimming and skiing.We will learn to run EU projects efficiently, find new partners in Europe and create a positive image of the school.We are planning to share knowledge in two dimensions: firstly, teachers taking part in courses will share their knowledge with teachers and students from our school. Secondly, we want to present the results to teachers from other schools in our area organizing workshops for them and to other teachers in Europe, using new technologies and internet tools.
