Erasmus for Life is a youth project initiated within Erasmus+ programme/ EVS by an international consortium of 5 EVS accredited organisations: Asociatia Tineri Romani Europeni (Romania, Coordinating/Host Organization) Tmelník o.s. (Cehia, Sending Organization) Asociación Mundus – Un Mundo a tus Pies – (Spania, Sending Organization) Associazione Culturale Link (Italia, Sending Organization) VCS Skopje (Macedonia, Sending Organization) The main purpose of our project is to organize 2 learning mobilities with intercultural dimension (5 months each) and center them on 16 EVS volunteers (8/service) selected from the sending countries based on the compliance between their profile/needs and the project’s educational offer. The mobilities will take place in Bucharest, Romania, as follows: M 1: 1st February 2015 – 31st July 2015/ 8 EVS volunteers (pairwise from Czech Republic, Spain, Italy, FYROM) M 2: 1st September 2015- 31st January 2016)/ 8 EVS volunteers (pairwise from Czech Republic, Spain, Italy, FYROM) Erasmus for Life has the following objectives: 1. To develop among the 16 EVS volunteers (direct beneficiaries) those transversal key-competences which increase their chances of active participation in personal/educational/professional contexts on medium/long term. 2. To contribute to the increasement of life quality in the participating communities by stimulating actions of volunteering and active citizenship among youth. To attain these aims we set up the following volunteering activities which are to be implemented by the EVS volunteers with our preparation and support: a) Erasmus for Health: Stem Cells and Blood Donation campaigns b) Erasmus for (Re)Integration: Educational and leisure activities alongside children/youngsters warded in 4 partner hospitals from Bucharest c) Erasmus for Experience: Nonformal activities aimed at promoting Erasmus+/Evs among youngsters at risk of marginalisation/social exclusion (with medical problems/ unemployed) d) Erasmus for Active Citizenship&Safety: Civic campaigns aimed at raising awareness regarding causeway safety and taxi rides in safe conditions The project will generate intercultural learning experiences which will lead to the following medium/long term impact: -an increased capacity of the 16 EVS volunteers to follow educational opoortunities, employment/freelance opportunities -a developed organizational capacity and the appropriate expertise in youthwork for us as a newly founded organization -an increased capacity of the sending promoters to manage international youth projects within E+ and enlarge their network of international partners -an increased rate of causeway safety, civic awareness and quality of life in Bucharest, the host community, and the volunteers comunities (DEOR measures)
