ERASED WALLS
Start date: May 1, 2010,

The theme of the project is to discuss thru the art the present situation in countries and regions of Central and Eastern Europe, which ways they have gone since the liberation from communism ideology and system, whether they celebrate freedom and equity or experience new disproportions and boundaries. We concentrate on trans-border movement of artists and artistic works and on intercultural dialogue. The concept of the project is to organise 3 exhibitions in 3 cities (Poznan, Berlin, Bratislava) under the same title, ERASED WALLS, dealing with the same theme and showing artists chosen from a common list. The common list of artists will be created by 8 curators coming from different countries. Each curator introduce about 10 artists. Not all artists will be present at each exhibition. Different works of an artist can be used.Although the exhibitions will be based on the same artists and artistic works, they will present them according to individual conceptions of curators, in different configurations and context. The exhibition in Poznan will be related to Mediations Biennale and ASEM conference (global perspective). In Bratislava we will be influenced by Crazycurators Biennale. The Berlin event will act as the final of the project and presentation of all artists invited. There are two conferences planned. The one in Prague will launch the project. All curators will participate. The other one is in Poznan, with international guests and speakers.
