EQUIPE - European Quality in Individualised Pathways in Education
Start date: Oct 1, 2002,

As Universities began to embrace Lifelong Learning, quality assurance approaches were required to be adapted, to take into account a more diverse range of learner needs and practices. Traditional learning programmes had to be considered alongside other forms of learning and support (e.g. open and distance learning; accreditation of prior learning). Responding to this need, 32 partners from across Europe worked together to develop a web-based toolkit able to support quality assurance in University environments focusing particularly upon new forms of adult learning practice. Tools and materials developed during the project lifetime combined to form a web-based toolkit which includes a quality handbook, a review of quality assurance models, examples of good practice and a series of case studies covering 30 European countries.
