Equal differences

Youth exchange "Equal Differences" was born during other international projects in different countries of EU. Young people in process of non-formal education was raising the questions about different genders issues. Especially this topic was discussed in a project about homophobia, which was held in Lithuania. While youngsters were aware about those topics, they were not informed enough about different genders and what kind of problems they might are facing, in different societies and countries. Project's "Equal Differences" goal is to provide information about different genders to the society and develop tolerance on this topic, as a part of ensuring general tolerance to difference, between people.Project's tasks:- Raise the awareness on genders issues;- Provide information about different genders to the participants and society;- Develop tolerance on this topic;- Create small, understandable video about different genders, which would be easy to use for different ages people education, coming from different backgrounds and countries.During the project we will discuss on several topics: genders, which exists and information about them; tolerance; human rights; society's reaction on this topic; different social circumstances; educational video's creating on this topic etc. After project young people will share their understandings in their countries in order to raise the discussion about this topic and to give people real information about genders, which will develop tolerance to sexual differences.Youth exchange project will happen in Lithuania in the Trakai district. Exchange will involve 20 people from 17 to 24 years old from Lithuania, Greece, Spain and Bulgaria. During all 10 days of exchange process we will use non-formal education methods (discussions, simulations, evaluations, open door activities, theatre, creative forms of cooperation etc.)
