Start date: Sep 1, 2016, End date: Aug 31, 2017 PROJECT  FINISHED

Τhere a specific tactic that can lead a company to emerge victorious from a difficult economic period like the one we are going through today. This is the offense. A strategy that is not practiced by many, but followed by few generating exceptional results. While most companies keep a defensive stance, those who deploy offensive strategies usually gain a number of benefits. They gain a greater market share and thusmore customers; they arebetter "placed" and achieve their goals. For the rest, the reserved fate is often a slow and tortuous path to shutdown. This is the truth. In every crisis period we have experienced, those who dared and acted aggressively, not only withstood the blows of the crisis, but showed better results than all the others, who were mere observers of the situation. The objective of the proposed project, is to deploy this offensive strategy by incorporating innovative good practices that emerged in Spain by the host partner. These practices focus on the main functions of commercial enterprises. The attention is focused on the need to take into account those features and characteristics of commercial enterprises that develop strategies to ensure their future growth, using marketing techniques. Operating, investing, market economic strategy, diversification and differentiation strategy, often used in the activity of commercial enterprise are analyzed. It is proved that the development of such a strategy should be carried out bytaking into account the socio-economic situation of the region, in which the commercial enterprise is located. An innovative example that has been implemented in Spain is the "label", whichis used to certify the quality in the tourism sector and is successfully adopted by commercial enterprises. This is aimed to: ensure the quality of products and services, growthe customer base and encourage their loyalty, motivatethe staff, optimizethe resources, prevent risks and lower the costs. The benefits of deploying this project will occurby simulating and implementing the model to local businesses and presenting their actual positive outcomes. The Commercial Association of Kilkis, as a mission partner, aims to educate-train 20 entrepreneurs and business executives. The host partner of the project is the Spanish-Italian Chamber of Madrid.
