The title of the project we worked on was "Training teachers in innovative teaching methodologies and ICT" and it lasted twelve months. The organisation "Motivated Learning for Everyone" was based in Sofia, Bulgaria, and a total of eight teachers were implemented. This training plan was aimed at educational group participation in the seminar "Improving Teaching and Communication Skills in the Classroom " in Madrid, Spain five days and the seminar "Digital classroom: Using ICT in Education " in London, Great Britain five days. Trainees focused on following objectives: 1. Development of innovative methods, pedagogical techniques and teaching practices. 2. Familiarity with modern tools, methodologies and training techniques. 3. Improvement of teachers' skills and to open new horizons in the learning process with the use of new technology and to promote innovative teaching methodologies. The selection of trainees participating in the program was based on a good knowledge of the English language, years of service with an emphasis on younger teachers so that the results of training would have a longer impact and enable them to new technology. Our ages fluctuated between 34 and 59. There were four men and four women. Set of eight trainee teachers. The method applied was cooperative and involved learning associated with the exchange of experiences. The seminar "Digital Classroom: Using ICT in Education " in London lasted five days and the key issue were the digital literacy, building blogs, Google Apps, creating digital classes, the use of google docs app, google drive, blogger etc. aimed at improving teaching methods. The seminar was attended by teachers from Italy, Turkey, Malta and Lithuania. As part of the training attendees visited teachers in the public elementary school Herbert Morrison Primary School. This experience was unprecedented for all teachers because they had the opportunity to enter the classroom and observe the multicultural school courses that respect ethnic, religious and cultural differences of students. Results obtained for teachers and students: 1) Empowerment training. Learning about Teaching Methods that enhance Teacher Effectiveness. 2) Search for new knowledge and teaching methods.Making learning as concrete and meaningful as possible. 3) The training and professional development of teachers is seen as the main driving force behind the successful use of ICT in education. 4) Obtain information literacy and digital literacy and digital skills. 5) Support for teachers to make better use of educational, supervisory and laboratory equipment at their disposal. 6) Enhancing flexible learning opportunities - rich learning environments of information and communication. 7) Culture of learning through the combination of audio, video, image, text and movement. 8) Enhancing learning through interaction and cooperation. 9)Networking (the ability to search for, synthetisize and disseminate information. 10)Sense of initiative. 11) Cultural awareness and expression. 12)Understanding the Functions of Verbal and Nonverbal Communication in the Classroom. 13)Applying Classroom Control. 14)Clarifying Advantages and Disadvantages of the Lecture and the Discussion Method. Methodology: The methodological approach included: Lecture Method, Reading Information Method Audio-Visual Presentation Demonstration, Observation, Brainstorming Problem-Solving Activities Role-Playing Projects Impact Participant teachers: • used Internet services for teacher training • gained skills that contributed to their professional and personal development • developed tools and techniques for innovative problem solving • deepened in student population management • encouraged students to adopt creative thinking • exchanged experiences and intercultural practices in creativity and innovation • increased ability to cooperate internationally The school unit: • incorporated the new skills of the teaching staff in the classroom and the interpersonal relationships within and outside the unit, for the benefit of students and teachers. • improved learning and dynamic capability of the school through everyday practical application of new knowledge • acquired a strategic plan and development of a strong social network of solidarity towards vulnerable and high risk groups in educational and social exclusion. The group - aim that students: • addressed the negative side of the Internet and shielded towards the personal data protection, secure Internet • joined to a more learner-centered learning environment, having clear roles in the educational process • learned through modern teaching and learning methods which made the course attractive for teachers and students thus ensuring an efficient process of learning.
