Environmental pollution. Shoot it! Frame it!
Start date: Feb 2, 2010,

The idea of this project dates back in October 2009, in Poland, and was promoted during the Partnership Building Activity called "Open Space". The idea is that youngsters in different European countries should be aware of the environmental pollution the society is facing in every day life, suggest methods for improvement, and become actively involved on this subject. It was suggested, also, the use of photography to reflect the environmental pollution, as a good way for raising awareness and promote active citizenship among youngsters. The project is proposed as a Youth Exchange within the action 1.1. of the Youth in Action Programme and it involves 6 different countries (Germany, Latvia, Romania, Poland, Greece and Hungary). Its themes are: raising awareness on environmental pollution and the use of photography for reflecting it. The project has the following objectives: raising awareness among youngsters regarding environmental pollution in every day life; active citizenship among youngsters regarding envrionmental pollution, suggesting methods and practices for improvements. The project is proposing an APV and a main Activity. The duration of the APV is two days as the duration of the Activity is six days. Some of the activities that are implemented using non-formal techniques include an integration session, workshops (on photography and on environmental issues), national presentations, a photo trip, a photo exhibition.
