Environmental education in an intercultural setting
Start date: Aug 1, 2014, End date: Dec 24, 2014 PROJECT  FINISHED

Aims of the project were to work on quality and new types of looking at environmental education. Background of the project was our experience in working with local volunteers who are eager to experiment with envionment protection, environmental education. Core activities of our organisation are: running family day care centres where we work with very small children aged 1-5. Furher we provide afterschool activities for school - pupils, and run camps, organise training courses both at local and international level. We work with a small group of local young people organising workshops and activities with them and provide space for their meetings, projects. The idea of concentrating on new types of environmental education combining it with volunteering came from that group of young volunteers. Objectives of the project were (aimed): to provide good practices in terms of environmental education in the morning-""shift"" while working with the small kids, to involve school pupils in the project and to promote active European citizenship via volunteering and dissemination of information on E+ and volunteering.
