Project background:For our school it is necessary that colleagues get the possibility to improve their intercultural and project management skills. It is a goal for us to work more open to Europe and the world. We want our pupils to be prepared for the challenges of todays changing world. To reach this goal we need more competence in project management on an intercultural level. We want our students to get the possibilty to get in contact with students from other European countries.It is important for us, that our teachers have the possibility to attend courses with participants from other countries. Intercultural learning can take place during the whole stay and not only during the course period. In this time our participants are hopefully having the opportunity to meet potential exchange partners from other countries in order to plan exchanges (email, eTwinning...) Project goals:To improve our intercultural and project management skills. Number and profile of particiants:3 teachers will participate in the seminar. 2 of them are teachers of English and 1 is teaching ethics, 1 of them is our headmistress. All of them are having some intercultural competence, which they wish to improve. They are willing and motivated to spread the European idea to colleagues and to our pupils. Our participating teachers have sufficient language skills. Of course they are willing to attend courses abroad. Description of measures:Participation in the seminar "Project management for cross-cultural exchange projects in Europe" . 2 of them will participate in the german speaking seminar, 1 of them will attend the english version. Methodology for project implementation:The improvement of skills, especially in terms of intercultural learning and projekt management, will help us to constantly improve the qualitiy of teaching. Our participants will be able to use their new gained skills to organise exchange projects with other european schools. Description of the expected results, effects and potential long -term benefits:As a school we want to work more Europe open. We want to take part in European projects and work in those projects as effective as possible. The seminar will give the participants the ability to inspire and motivate our teaching stuff even more for European projects. This motivation and knowledge will help to expand intercultural, language and social skills of our pupils.
