ENHANCING QUALITY IN EDUCATION AND PRESERVING IT

his partnership was set up to contribute to the improvement of the European educational process, by providing examples of best practices to the institutions involved and not only. We presented and even applied models of lessons and classes in various school subjects; we tackled issues related to school administration, student counseling, parental collaboration, school failure, increasing learners’ motivation, attendance, evaluation criteria and stimulating extra-curricular activities. We devised “golden rules for quality in education” for all schools taking part in the project that of course are useful on a larger, European scale, to teachers of all subjects, managers of institutions, teacher-trainees and mentors.Furthermore, the partners discussed and shared cultural aspects with focus on the process of understanding and accepting differences. Our team also compared systems of education and investigated management issues, offering to the school managers involved the chance to exchange information, experience and approaches responding to their various needs. We thus reached our aim of enhancing the quality of education at European standards, furthering methods and rules that are in themselves tools for a better, qualitative process of education. We improved teaching abilities and professional performances of people involved, developed teamwork and responsibility while working in an international team. Active cooperation, involvement, problem-solving and exchanging experience were key terms of this project.
