ENGELSİZ BİR YAŞAMA RENKLERLE BAŞLA/ START AN UNIMPEDED LIFE WITH COLOURS

The aim of the project is to emphasize that disabled people whom we share common social areas and live together in the same world but many times not have equal opportunity to participate to life are a part of the society. How the streets we walk, public and private areas we use are adequate for us they should provide the same convenience for disabled people.The main aim of the project is to increase the quality of disabled lives so handicapped ramps and an area identified in the park will be painted in 2 weeks by a famous painter much used in Çubuk, province of Ankara. The pictures saying “we’re here too” will be done in these areas and in these ramps which will be the visual sound of the disabled people. So through this activity we’ll try to attract people’s attentions who just pity the life struggle of disabled people and to leave lasting impact in their memories. The description of the project will be done with three-dimensional picture drawing in the park where millions of people passing everyday. When these paintings are being done, a concert by a group of disabled people will be given in this way the interest taking by art activities will be transformed to social sensitivity. In addition to painting activities, many visits, seminars, chatting and sharing days, entertainments and image therapy will be realized during the project lasting 93 days. The brochures emphasizing the existence and life struggle of disabled people in the society will be hanged in the strategic areas of Çubuk, the place of the project. These activities will carry out with the group of 20 disabled people having physical, hearing and vision disability. Through this project many disabled young people who have many difficulties to go out will have chance to include in social cultural activities and they will say “We’re here too”. This project also provides that people who haven’t any disability will embrace the existence of disabled people and their rights.
