Energiewende europäisch denken! - Innovative Systemlösungen zur Umsetzung von Energiewende und Klimaschutz in der beruflichen Bildung
Start date: Jun 1, 2015, End date: May 31, 2017 PROJECT  FINISHED

The Berufsschule I Straubing intends to expand its international activities and establish cooperations with training companies and institutions of vocational training at European level. The teachers shall be motivated and enabled to run the organisation and implementation of transnational measures of mobility and vocational training. Further aims of the project are the improvement of the educational quality through an increase of the functional, methodological and social competences of the teaching staff. 15 teachers with the qualification „Lehramt an beruflichen Schulen“ from the departments of electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, automotive engineering and constructional engineering are going to take part in the project. Parts of the teaching staff have been teaching at a Fachschule for electrical engineering (Profiles: information technology, mechatronics and automation) and a Fachschule for mechanical engineering. The participants will be doing courses of training, advanced training and sitting in on classes in a big industrial company. This measure of mobility is going to improve sustainably the vocational and social competences of the students and, thus, raise their job security and their career opportunities. The measures that are planned subsequently are going to develop the students´ foreign language skills and their comprehension and receptiveness for the social, linguistic and cultural diversity in Europe. In view of the current decrease in students numbers and the resulting change in the vocational training landscape, this strategic reorientation and quality development is going to ensure the own school site.
