Encouraging the development and internationalisation of young people’s volunteering as a way to tackle employment challenges in rural communities .

The overall aim of this multi leg project will be to encourage the development and internationalisation of young people’s volunteering as an alternative to social exclusion and unemployment in partner organizations’ communities of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Latvia and Sweden, building capacity of youth organizations for initiation and promotion of community volunteering and producing a dissemination plan to mainstream experiences. In connection with the above aim, the objectives of this multi leg project will be: - To facilitate the inter-sector (NGOs, private businesses , public authorities) networking process among participants and partner organizations - To exchange principles and possible ways of youth participation and empowerment in a non formal way - To provide knowledge about possibilities of cooperation within the various aspects of the Erasmus+ program in Partner countries by presenting examples of efficient and successful cooperation - To motivate and train young activists to become project multipliers. Participants , Activities , Methodologies: Activity 1 (Contact making seminar in Latvia): youth representatives of the partner organizations will share views on volunteering as alternative to youth unemployment as well to present profiles and experience of participating organizations in this field. Contact making will be followed by Research activities locally in participating countries on the issues of youth participation in community volunteering and looking at best practice to approach existing employment difficulties that young people coming from deprived rural areas face.Activity 2 (Youth exchange in Kazakhstan): volunteers coming from deprived rural areas with inclusion work experience that participate in the work of partner organizations will explore volunteering and voluntary project work in mixed nationality teams as a method to gain new intercultural learning competences and increase personal self confidence and therefore employability. Youth exchange will be followed by Execution of the project ideas developed during the youth exchange in home communities. This process of working in community projects and executing own volunteering ideas will generate the pool of experienced and motivated multipliers who would be offered an opportunity to take part in the Training course for multipliers.Activity 3 (Training course for Multipliers in Kyrgyzstan): will bring together youth project developers and multipliers from the participating countries realizing inclusion projects during the Activity 2 and interested in the issues of transferability of the skills and knowledge they got during project’s phases to their peers from youth organizations and wider communities. The participants will be encouraged to transfer their experiences to the local networks at the dissemination stage mainstreaming new /improved practices.
