Context: A school of 13 classes in a sensitive district of Nice, organized in a network of 7 schools and a middle school (college) called " Territory City Heart ". The pupils come mainly from unprivileged backgrounds, culturally and economically. Objectives: To strengthen the theoretical and practical fields of the scientific culture within outdoor education To develop adequates behaviors in order to gain knowledge and training in autonomy and initiative Number of participants : 9 Profiles of the participants : Primary school teachers and School director/headmaster Description of the activities: The seminar consists of lectures, workshops, field trips, observations, hands-on learning, discussions, tasks and physical activities, and as well social activities and exchange. All build up to make a maximal gain for the participants. Each day of the seminar is divided in two parts, morning session and afternoon session. Furthermore will each day be dedicated to a certain topic or field. Methodology : The morning session will consist of indoors lectures, tasks and discussions with overview of theories, best practices, examples of outdoor education and its field. The afternoon session will consist of outdoor workshops, hands-on learning, observations and activities, where we will try and experience the learning gained from the morning session, creating a comprehensive understanding and ability to achieve the tools and means provided Impact : update the skills in the field of the outdoor education Undertake an approach of cultural and scientific opening Develop the language skills in English in the field of the sciences of open air and education. Acquire an international experience and experiment an European dimension in the didactic approach in the class rooms . Results (profits) : during the course the participants will get to know theories and implementation on outdoor education. The teachers will be armed to develop practices of outdoor education and school trips. Long-term advantages: The participants will be encouraged to keep the network and connections gained during the course in order to built a future partnership between schools.
