'Emprending XXI' - Web site to Manage the Competencies and the Promotion of the Entrepreneurial Attitude

The objective of the pilot project 'Emprending XXI' is to foster entrepreneurial awareness by designing a methodology and support tools to strengthen personal abilities and qualifications to help youngsters to face the challenge of self-employment. In fact, only 2% of the Union's young people start up their own business, mostly as an alternative to unemployment. The 'Emprending XXI' project focuses on changing this pattern and will develop the following solutions:° a situation analysis;° the identification of a young European entrepreneur profile, based on an analysis of the data from each participating country;° a methodology to strengthen the development of entrepreneurship, based on performance of individual and group dynamics played in multilingual class system forums;a support tool to manage business competencies, including search and validation of the business ideas and monitoring of business start-ups. This tool for new entrepreneurs will support institutions responsible for encouraging the creation of employment and new enterprises, such as local governments, trade unions, employers and young people's associations. The resulting materials available in Web site format will be available in Spanish, English, German and French, facilitating the participation of different nationalities. This project expects that 60% of the test groups will result in enterprise creation. The promotion of an international co-operation network among young European entrepreneurs will also be encouraged. The dissemination strategy will be carried out through the capacity of the project partners with the support of all interested social agents through transnational and national seminars, European networks, specialised publications.
