The exchange project called Be Young, Think Criative, Live Active arose from the need and interest young people with fewer opportunities supported by the partner institutions in this project, have been showing about world of business and their great concern about the high youth unemployment rate, envolving Portugal (Madeira Island) and Hungry (Budapest).The main theme of this project is entrepreneurship and learning by doing and will cover directly 16 young people with fewer opportunities and few job prospects, 8 young people from each participant country in this exchange, with an average age between 15 and 16, who will spend a week together, from March 27 to April 3, 2016, in Madeira, in moments of sharing and learning.This project aims to develop self-awareness of young people and stimulate their motivation to be entrepreneurs, developing their initiative and creative thinking. It is also proposed to alert young people to the business opportunities in the environment around them and provide some basic knowledge about the business environment and how to create their own jobs and succeed in the workplace. In the end, it is expected that the participants will be able to create a business idea and to predict what would need to put it into operation and to present it, with conviction, to a public and a jury.In addition, it is intended that young people have moments of sharing experiences and learning in a multicultural exchange, thus learning more about the culture, language, food and customs of another country.The objectives of this project intersect with the Erasmus + Program and with this action in particular, as it aims to promote learning and self-empowerment of young people; greater spirit of initiative and enterprise and hence better career prospects; better skills at the level of foreign languages and the opportunity to have an intercultural experience, making them aware of respect for differences, and encouraging tolerance, equality and solidarity, making them thus more aware of the European project and EU values. The project will be developed using methods and non-formal education, such as group dynamics; team work; field trips; trial-action; workshops; watching videos; roleplay. These experiential methods will bring an added value to the training of these young people, who show little motivation for formal and conventional methods. They will also be organized moments of informal interaction and relaxed moments, such as the multicultural dinner, the typical Madeira dinner and the practice of sports, marketed by partner tourist entertainment companies.The activities go through the dynamics of self-knowledge and of entrepreneurial development; study visits to several companies, from hotels; regional products; design; sport; computer, music and television, that will give the opportunity for young people to know how these companies were created and experience as working in these areas. It will be reserved time to work in groups and practice what they have learned and create a business idea and present it to the other working groups, in front of a camera and a jury, simulating a session of the Shark Tank. With the realization of this project it is expected that the impacts on participants will be very positive and enduring. It is expected that these improve their personal and social skills, namely, self-confidence and self-esteem; the ability to interact and relate to different groups and accepting different cultures. It is also hoped that the professional level arise improvements in the knowledge of the business world; language skills; of entrepreneurial skills, particularly the ability to innovate and be creative; to take initiative and persistence and even increase the network of professional contacts, contacting the organizations that support young entrepreneurs. As for the partner organizations are expected that they become more motivated to have more initiatives like this, carrying out projects that contribute to the personal and professional training of young people with fewer opportunities.In the long run, the benefits provided for these young people to be more confident and able to create their own employment, thus lowering the youth unemployment rate, promoting economic efficiency and social stability. In addition, they will be more aware of this type of projects, as well as partner organizations, and there may be more applications to the Erasmus + YA program, expanding the range of opportunities for these and other disadvantaged youth.
