Empowering European Youth
Start date: Feb 1, 2015, End date: Nov 30, 2015 PROJECT  FINISHED

Our project, Empowering European Youth, with acredited number 2012-ES-106 will focus on urban / rural development, communication and information for young people. In the project that we have designed for a period of six months, the three volunteers who will be one from Hungary, Cyprus and France, they will have the opportunity to participate and learn form the main activities of IDEA, this activities are most related to the areas of creating new employment opportunities and to provide advice and information to young people. Our activities are in fact dedicated to the unemployed and especially young people who are struggling to find a foothold in the labour market. The service “Labour guide” of IDEA is working on the design and development of training programmes through workshops, seminars and interviews. The aim of this service is to prepare young people to meet the new demands of the labour market. In this perspective, the volunteers will participate in the daily activities of IDEA (workshops and seminars, etc. ..). For example, they will be able to help young people to find new labour opportunities using the Eures Network which is the website for the labour mobility in Europe, after they have received all the information about how the system works. It is important to note that the experience of IDEA will be useful for volunteers and expand their opportunities for the future. Furthermore, it will be possible to create a group of young people to make an intercultural laboratory in IDEA. The volunteers will be able to use their experiences, especially with young people, sharing with them their opinions, in this process the volunteers can also increase their knowledge of Spanish culture. The volunteers will improve their professional profiles (in the field of youth European projects and employment) and enriching the general knowledge of European citizenship.
